Wednesday
Being formed by the word, works, and ways of Jesus is core to our mission at Calvary Chapel. One of the main pathways we provide for this formation is The Gathering on Wednesday nights.
For The Gathering, we host a variety of courses on our campus that target specific areas of life for deep discipleship. These courses meet in seasonal terms, several times a year, and include topics that touch on finances, prayer, marriage, emotional health, biblical studies, and more.
We strive to keep The Gathering accessible for our whole church community, so Kids Church is provided along with Junior High and High School ministries. Please see below for more information on The Gathering and how you can get involved.

Spring 2026
April 22 through May 27
Coming this spring: New and returning Gathering courses designed to help you grow deeper in faith, relationships, and understanding. Find all the descriptions and register below.

Scripture reveals that behind the events of human history lies a greater unseen conflict: a spiritual battle between God and the forces of evil. By virtue of their relationship with Christ, every Christian is drawn into this struggle, not with physical weapons, but through spiritual means like prayer, the proclamation of God’s truth, and a life of faithful obedience.
This course is designed to increase the believer’s awareness of the reality of spiritual warfare in everyday life while providing a balanced, biblically grounded understanding of a subject that is often misunderstood. Participants will explore what Scripture teaches about the nature of the battle and how followers of Christ can stand firm in faith and truth.

Most Christians are clear on what we believe about the gospel, but as many have said, the longest journey you will ever take is the 18 inches from your head to your heart. We want to be a community transformed by the gospel, reflecting a generous, kind, and welcoming Jesus. In this class, we will discover how we get the gospel from our heads to our hearts and to the lives around us.
*Please note: There is a $10 book fee for this course.

Human development, spiritual formation, and behavioral guidance are deeply connected and foundational to discipling children well. God designed children to grow in stages, and wise discipleship honors that design. This course explores how children grow intellectually, emotionally, morally, and spiritually from birth through young adulthood and equips parents, caregivers, educators, and ministry leaders to guide children with wisdom and compassion, integrating biblical discipleship with insights from human development
-
This course examines Jesus’ mission and the Church through a devotional study of Acts. With reflections on key passages, it gives clear, practical insights on how believers can live on mission in the Holy Spirit’s power.
Rather than a formal academic study of missiology, this course invites participants to engage Scripture devotionally and consider the practical implications of the Church’s calling. Participants will be encouraged to see mission not merely as a program, but as a way of life rooted in the gospel and empowered by the Spirit.
-
Delight Your Marriage is a transformative class designed to strengthen marriages by focusing on personal growth rather than trying to fix your spouse. Rooted in biblical truth and practical wisdom, this course offers a proven pathway to lasting change, starting with you.
Men and women will meet in separate groups to create space for honest conversation, accountability, and encouragement within a supportive community. Through guided teaching, daily practical application, and intentional reflection, participants will learn how heart-level transformation leads to healthier communication, deeper connection, and renewed joy in marriage. As you commit to growth and obedience, you’ll discover a powerful truth: when you change, your marriage can change too.
This class is Part 2 of the previous session and continues with curriculum that builds week to week. Because of this, it is currently not open to new enrollment. If you’re interested in participating, look for Part 1 courses to be offered again in the future.

Though it is often overlooked, emotional health plays a vital role in how we connect with God and with others. In order to live and serve others well, we must come to understand the theological and practical implications of why God created humans as emotional beings and how we can steward those emotions wisely.
This course will help us understand our emotions as gifts from God and how we can begin the process of maturing them into fullness in Christ. We will identify some common core emotions and provide practical resources to promote emotional maturity.
*Please note: This class is Part 2 of the previous session and continues with curriculum that builds week to week. Because of this, it is currently not open to new enrollment. If you’re interested in participating, look for Part 1 courses to be offered again in the future.

Prayer is something many of us long for yet often struggle
to sustain.During this course, we will explore the wisdom of Ronald Rolheiser through his book, Prayer, Our Deepest Longing, discovering that prayer doesn’t require a perfect focus or a quiet life; it simply begins with our deepest desires for God.
Together, we’ll examine why prayer can feel difficult, how ordinary life and distraction can become prayer, and how simple daily practices can open us to God’s presence. Through conversation, reflection, and encouragement, this class invites you to rediscover prayer as a life-giving rhythm and a place of honesty, connection, and hope.
