Love Costa Mesa

Info

Love Costa Mesa Day is on Saturday, May 18. Your response has been amazing! All the spots have been filled, and registration is now closed (see below for another service opportunity).

There will be a rally from 8–8:45 AM, then we will head to our assigned projects from 9–11:45 AM. After, we will all celebrate together with a free lunch from 12–1 PM.

LCMD is an amazing opportunity to support, encourage, and engage with how the Lord is moving in the city of Costa Mesa. We are looking to serve this year in four ways:

  1. At our adopted school, Adams Elementary. We will be painting a bench in their courtyard, doing a general campus cleanup, and freshening up a mural. (FULL)
  2. At the morning rally from 7–10 AM. Our Missions Specialist, Bianka Mathus, is in charge of getting volunteers together and could use your help partnering with the city of Costa Mesa employees to make it happen (FULL).
  3. At the Lunch Rally from 10:30 AM–1 PM. Our Missions Specialist, Bianka Mathus will be there coordinating setting up tables, supporting vendors, and serving food (FULL).
  4. By supporting financially. If you are not able to volunteer that day and feel led to give, our partner in meeting the needs of homeless youth, Project Hope Alliance, is looking for people to sponsor the purchase of furniture items for the classroom we support at Estancia High School (a list with links will be sent out once you express interest).

If you would still like to participate, you can join other members from the community at Costa Mesa High School for a gardening project! The address is 2650 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. Please show up at 9 AM to meet team lead Cristen (949-338-5511), and bring any gardening gloves and small shovels you have! Then at 12 PM, don’t forget to meet us at Costa Mesa City Hall for the FREE lunch celebration!
